DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The THNS Forum is an International Symposium on the Sustainable Development of Urban Transport Systems, is organized by École nationale des ponts et chaussées and Tongji University. This event especially fosters the East-West exchange of knowledge advances: research outcomes, innovative technologies, implementation reports etc. It brings together academics, policy makers and business representatives (operators, constructors, consultants).\nAll along, over its successive yearly editions THNS has been focused on the development of high-quality transport solutions: to people as users, to the environment, urban environment & relation to local dwellers.\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1729696816359{background-color: #e7e5ff !important;}”][vc_column_text]Programme\n \nTuesday 5 November: \n– AI & road flow\n– Transport & Development || Public transport development\nWednesday 6 November: \n– Mobility services: economics and organization\n– Competition or coopetition? || Traffic management\nThursday 7 November: \n– Transport and the environment || Mobility behaviors: advanced studies\n– Urban design and sustainable[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1729696731103{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column_text]Keynotes presentations\n \nEast-west exchanges of knowledge will be fostered by dual keynote sessions pairing a Chinese professor and a western counterpart, on the following three key topics:\n \n– Urban planning and mega-events, e.g. Olympic games.\n \n– The development and usage of shared mobility services, including car rental, systems of shared vehicles, on-demand transport, taxicab and ride-hailing services, ride-sharing etc.\n– Transport and the environment: green energy, electrification of vehicles and infrastructures.\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Schedule and working language\nThe sessions will take in 3 mornings from 9h Paris time (afternoon in Beijing time) from 5th to 7th November. The sessions will comprise several keynote speeches and over 20 presentations.\nThe 2024 edition will be held both online and onsite at Paris-East campus by Ecole des Ponts and University Gustave Eiffel.
