Are you passionate about your research but struggling to make it understandable outside your academic bubble? Would you like to improve how you present your work to broader audiences? If that is the case, join this EELISA Workshop on Science Communication for PhD students, and gather the skills to share your research with the world.\nThis workshop is tailored specifically for doctoral candidates within EELISA who want to sharpen their science communication skills. The event kicks off with a short introduction by the FAU local communication team, who will share key insights and tips on effective science communication. After this, every participant will have some time to prepare their own research topic and practice delivering it in a clear, engaging 30-second presentation in front of the group.\nWhy you should join\n– Learn how to distill your research into a compelling, accessible pitch\n– Practice presenting your work and receive constructive peer feedback\n – Discover exciting research projects from PhD students across different faculties and universities\n – Enjoy networking opportunities during lunch, building connections with fellow researchers\n\nWorkshop agenda\n – 11:00 – 11:30: Welcome and introduction on science communication by FAU local communication team\n – 11:30 – 12:00: Work on your own 30-second presentation\n – 12:00 – 12:30: Presentations followed by feedback\n – 12:30 – 13:00: Lunch and networking\nMore information\nUp to 20 participants will be welcomed.
