DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]\nWhat are the challenges a Library faces when preserving historic documents? How can they adapt to future challenges? The University Library of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is a comprehensive academic library system supporting all faculties, while also serving as a regional library. During the Staff Week, participants will gain insight into its wide range of services, with a particular focus on digital research support.\nKey topics include research data management, Open Access publishing, and the implementation of Open Science practices, an area in which FAU is a national pioneer. Participants will learn how the library supports researchers throughout the full data lifecycle, from project planning to long-term archiving, and how it facilitates transparent and accessible research.\nThe programme will also introduce the structure and functioning of FAU’s multi-site library system, as well as highlight unique special collections, offering a broader perspective on how academic libraries contribute to research, teaching, and cultural heritage.\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=””]The Erasmus+ Staff Week programme will take place in Erlangen during four days and one day in Nürnberg and will include\n\nGuided tours of Erlangen and Nürnberg\nIntercultural training Germany\nCultural / Social event tbc\nVisit to all areas of the Library, project presentations and workshops, tbc\nBest-Practise / Project presentations by participants, tbc.\nMindfulness Training, tbc.\n\nParticipants who would give a presentation on a project or who would hold a workshop are given preference.\n \nApplication information\nPlease upload a detailed CV and a motivation letter, stating a) your daily work b) your focus of interest in the UB and c) the them of a potential presentation or work shop you would hold. The number of participants is limited to 15 and 2 per country to maintain a balance.
