DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]Are you interested in European security policy, the dynamics of NATO and EU decision-making, or how media shapes diplomatic crises?\nDo you want to negotiate as a Delegate, respond to live crisis updates, or report on summit proceedings as part of a student Press Corps?\nThen apply now for the EELISA Diplomacy Summit 2027 – a BayernMUN Conference!\nOrganised within the EELISA European University Alliance and embedded in the established BayernMUN conference format, the EELISA Diplomacy Summit (EDS) is a simulation-based learning activity that brings together students from across Europe as both participants and organisers to explore diplomacy, international security, and media resilience through interdisciplinary policy simulations.\nThroughout the Summit, participants strengthen skills in negotiation, crisis management, stakeholder coordination, strategic communication under pressure, policy-drafting, public speaking, English proficiency, and the identification of disinformation.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=””]The EDS consists of three modules:\nModule I – Preparatory Phase (Online/Hybrid)\n– Training Weekend I: 24–25 October 2026\n– Training Weekend II: 28–29 November 2026\n– Position Paper: due 31 December 2026\n– Preparatory Research: due 21 January 2027\nTwo intensive hybrid seminars prepare delegates for the summit. International law and political science professors introduce participants to the committees, topics, and policy concepts. Speech and negotiation trainers advise delegates on their conduct in committee, while faculty advisors and MUN alumni explain simulation dynamics and conduct small-scale simulations during training sessions.\nModule II – EELISA Diplomacy Summit (In-Person, Nuremberg)\n– Summit: 22–24 January 2027\nThe in-person summit takes place at the Imperial Castle Nuremberg and the Heilig Geist Hall. It features European Council and NATO Council committee sessions, a staffed crisis backroom, a student-led Press Corps, a hybrid Security Expert Panel with practitioners from EU, NATO, OSCE, and the Munich Security Conference, and an EELISA Townhall.
