SUMMARY:Building a Lifestyle and Networking Campus – SPARK Engagement Workshop
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=””]Building a Lifestyle and Networking Campus  (BALANCE) introduces the concept of sustainable performance and how it depends on the effective management of fundamental human resources. Just as engineering systems operate within defined physical and operational limits, students also function within physiological and cognitive boundaries that influence their ability to concentrate, collaborate and perform efficiently under pressure.\nThroughout this workshop, participants will be able to focus on three key dimensions:\n – Food for focus, emphasising the role of nutrition in maintaining concentration and cognitive efficiency during demanding academic periods\n – Hydration for cognition, highlighting the influence of hydration on brain function and mental clarity\n – Energy for learning, introducing practical strategies for personal energy management, including effective breaks, healthy sleep habits and techniques for improving productivity and sustained attention\nBy reflecting on how these factors influence their own performance and wellbeing, participants develop a scientific perspective on the concept, as a measurable, manageable and essential resource for sustainable academic and professional development. The activity establishes the foundation for subsequent collaborative tasks, where it will be applied on working within limits to engineering challenges, interdisciplinary teamwork and problem-solving scenarios.\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text css=””]Participation\nThe activity is open to Bachelor’s and Master’s students interested in wellbeing, sustainable performance, collaborative learning and engineering-related challenges. No prior technical knowledge is required. Participants are encouraged to actively engage in discussions, brainstorming sessions, interactive activities and team-based tasks throughout the workshop. Enrollment may be limited depending on the number of available places.\n \nSelection for SPARK Project\nFollowing the BALANCE Workshop, students will be selected to participate in the SPARK Project. The selection process will be based on participants’ engagement, active involvement in workshop activities, contribution to discussions and collaborative tasks, as well as their motivation to further participate in the project’s educational and interdisciplinary activities.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]\nWHEN\n29 October 2026\n \nWHERE\nOnline via TEAMS\n \nAPPLICATION DEADLINE\nSign up via Digital Campus until 1 October 2026\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_btn title=”LEARN MORE AND APPLY VIA DIGITAL CAMPUS” style=”flat” color=”black” align=”center” css=”” button_block=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fdigitalcampus.eelisa.eu%2Factivities%2F52db596c-4f2d-44ab-86ac-5b42f290cabe|target:_blank”][vc_empty_space height=”22px”][vc_btn title=”PLEASE FILL THIS GOOGLE FORM AS WELL TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION” style=”flat” color=”black” align=”center” css=”” button_block=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fforms%2Fd%2Fe%2F1FAIpQLScQWBM8lpcCvZzLgCMZnZq7RjvzSp8XSi1qJ_A-zFL0lcRz3A%2Fviewform%3Fusp%3Ddialog|target:_blank”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_message message_box_color=”alert-warning” css=””]This initiative has been funded through the EELISA Joint Call 7, as part of the SPARK – Sustainable Performance Training for Future Engineers: Integrating Wellbeing, Simulation and Collaborative Innovation project. [/vc_message][/vc_column][/vc_row]\n
