The Chair of Technical Information Systems at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg was founded in 2018 and closely cooperates with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS. We are a research group focusing on semantic technologies to bring information and communication technologies of the future into today’s world.

The Chair offers a fully funded 4-year PhD position (100%; ~ 52.000 €/year) in the field of knowledge graphs. It is one co-founder of the EELISA Community of European Knowledge Graph Engineers. The community was founded in 2021 and has the mission to define the requirements and the being of a European Knowledge Graph Engineer.  The job location is in Nuremberg, Germany. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects and contribute to the development of new technologies in these fields.
