Attendance to these courses will give you credits that will help you obtain the EELISA Supplement. If you want these courses to be also accepted as credits for your school year, you need to proceed as-is:

  • Apply for the course at the host institution
  • Get an acceptance letter from the person in charge of the course
  • Show the acceptance letter to the dean of studies (international affairs) of your home institution
  • Get approval from your dean of studies
  • Get a certificate of attendance and validation of the course at the host institution at the end of the course (after examination, if this applies)
  • Transmit the certificate to the dean of studies at your home institution.

Control Engineering

WHAT

The subject’s object is to introduce the basic concepts of control engineering. The details include modeling methods of linear and nonlinear systems in time and frequency domain. The basics of Laplace-transform and it application are also discussed, with a special emphasis on modeling and control design. Basic forms of closed loop control, such as PID-compensation with an emphasis on quality requirements are detailed. Special forms of nonlinearities in control loops, e.g. on-off control, fundamentals of digital control and modern state space control are also mentioned. 4 hours/4 credits.

Corporate Law

WHAT

The main objective of the course is to provide specialized knowledge of corporate law and related
areas of law in the training system of management and finance students. In compiling the
knowledge base, we set approach for sup-porting the students with a complex and higher level of
knowledge in private and civil law. Our goal is also to enable students to recognize emerging legal
issues while using individual and organizational forms of learning.
In the everyday business, it is essential that an economic expert also be able to navigate between
different forms of entrepreneurship, and bears the necessary knowledge to run and manage
companies – in various forms.
The subject matter of the subject therefore consists of several larger units: basically provides the
economic legal status (emphatically on corporate law) knowledge, based on the rules of the Civil
Code; and also gives access to the legal regulation of related fields such as competition law, tax
law, banking law and intellectual property law.
In discussing the certain areas of knowledge, the course pays special attention to approach the
thoughts and interest of economics students, so they can learn not only the substantive rules, but
also the rules of procedure. Due to the complexity of the topics, the students also need the
innovative and creative thinking of the subject.

DALIDA: DAta, LIability, and Damages

WHAT

DALIDA Seasonal School aims to develop skills and competence to deal with tort and contractual liabilities and damages compensation, considering the current challenges arising from the application of data science methodologies to case-law analysis and bioengineering solutions to improve the quality of life for injured persons. Participants could familiarize with the EU data strategy initiatives and their consequences on fundamental rights protection in a comparative perspective, focusing on: i) the role of digitalisation and predictive tools to assess pecuniary and non-pecuniary losses; ii) new risk management strategies for digital scenarios; iii) AI-based and robotics applications to restore functionalities and reduce the impairments of personal injuries; iv) systematic effects on tort and contractual liability.
The acquired methodologies will complete existing traditional learning approaches to the investigated issues, contributing to develop the next generation of smart professionals (e.g. lawyers, judges, legal and insurance advisors, clinicians, forensic experts, data scientists and software developers, engineers, policy makers, etc).

Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures

WHAT

The subject introduces students into the way of design of approximate dimensions, joints and structural solutions of reinforced concrete structures. Invited lecturers expose some of the most significant recent investments in reinforced concrete in Hungary. The aim of the course is to develop the ability of students – on the basis of EUROCODE 2 – to adopt architectural dimensions and to evaluate the effect of the chosen architectural lay-out onto the structural solution.
