READ BEFORE YOU BEGIN!

Attendance to these courses will give you credits that will help you obtain the EELISA Supplement. If you want these courses to be also accepted as credits for your school year, you need to proceed as-is:

  • Apply for the course at the host institution
  • Get an acceptance letter from the person in charge of the course
  • Show the acceptance letter to the dean of studies (international affairs) of your home institution
  • Get approval from your dean of studies
  • Get a certificate of attendance and validation of the course at the host institution at the end of the course (after examination, if this applies)
  • Transmit the certificate to the dean of studies at your home institution.

Please, note that the dates for some of the courses are based on those from the academic year 2020-2021. Climate Change: Science, Impacts and Mitigation

WHAT

Course Description: Anthropogenic climate change represents one of the most important environmental challenges of our time. In order to understand its environmental, economic, and societal implications, one should have adequate knowledge about the basic underlying science. This course aims to first teach the fundamental scientific principles behind climate change, which involve subjects of atmospheric science and climatology, as well as some aspects of the physical and biological sciences. After a firm grounding in the basic science is established, other issues involving climate change impacts and the issue of mitigation (solutions to dealing with the challenges presented by climate change) are explored.

Cloud Computing

WHAT

The basic objective of the course is introducing the basics of the modern computing cloud systems and cloud based applications. The students learn about the virtualization techniques and software solutions, protocols, standards and interfaces, which advanced the development of cloudbased services can be used in practice. They learn about the cloud-based IT systems design, development, operation, and quality control methods and tools. The students receive comprehensive information on the most commonly used approaches, models, standards related to software quality. Students learn about the characteristics of the software product and the product manufacturing process and should be interpreted taking into account the characteristics of the cloud-based systems can. They understand the similarities and differences between ISO 9001, CMMI, SPICE and auditing structure, will be able to more software quality model is applied in an integrated manner.
