Discover new ways of teaching at the 1st EELISA Co-Learning Lab
The EELISA Co-Learning Lab 2026 is a collaborative initiative designed to strengthen educational innovation and foster a shared culture of teaching and learning across the EELISA Alliance. Bringing together academics, educational developers, learning centre staff, students, and institutional leaders, the Co-Learning Lab provides a dynamic environment for exchanging experiences, developing new pedagogical approaches, and scaling successful practices across institutions.
Rather than functioning as a traditional academic conference, the Co-Learning Lab is conceived as a practice-oriented learning environment. It serves as a platform where educational innovations developed throughout the Alliance are not only showcased and discussed but also further refined into transferable learning resources and professional development opportunities.
The EELISA Co-Learning Lab 2026 seeks to disseminate innovative teaching and learning practices through peer-reviewed, practice-oriented formats while strengthening pedagogical capacity among educators and educational professionals across the Alliance. By encouraging cross-institutional and interdisciplinary dialogue, the event promotes the exchange of ideas on learning design, assessment, educational innovation, and institutional transformation.
The event also aims to produce a digital, interactive extended abstract book that will present selected good practices, facilitate wider dissemination, and encourage future collaboration among participants. In addition, the Co-Learning Lab strengthens the connection between education and research by transforming graduate thesis outcomes into meaningful learning experiences that can be shared across the Alliance.
Ultimately, the initiative contributes to the development of a shared EELISA pedagogical identity by connecting local educational innovations with common Alliance-level learning goals. Through collaboration, reflection, and co-creation, the Co-Learning Lab supports the continuous evolution of teaching and learning within the European Higher Education landscape.

COMPLETE YOUR LEARNING JOURNEY
Challenge-Based Learning Workshop
As part of the programme, the Challenge-Based Learning Workshop will take place on 24–25 November 2026 in a Training of Trainers format. The workshop is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, methods, and practical tools needed to implement Challenge-Based Learning in their own institutional contexts and to further disseminate these approaches within the EELISA Alliance.
Learning Station Training
A distinctive component of the EELISA Co-Learning Lab is the Training of Trainers Programme for the owners of the good-practices and the participants.
The Training of Trainers process begins during the event and may continue afterwards through mentoring and methodological support. Authors of selected extended abstracts will be supported in refining their good practices into structured learning experiences that can be reused, adapted, and shared across the EELISA ecosystem.
The aim is to ensure that the Co-Learning Lab produces not only event-based presentations, but also transferable learning experiences, follow-up training opportunities, and scalable learning assets for the Alliance.
