The EELISA Student Reporters initiative

Rooted in its vision to empower students through collaboration, mobility, and real-world learning, EELISA has expanded its communication initiatives with the launch of the EELISA Student Reporter teams. Building on past projects such as the Speak-out Campaign and EELISA Narrators , this programme places students at the heart of EELISA’s storytelling, giving them the opportunity to capture and share the essence of the Alliance’s most significant events.

In this page, we invite you to meet them and explore the content they created!

First wave reporters

In April 2025, the EELISA Student Reporters Pilot experience was launched. Students from BME and POLITEHNICA of Bucarest  were selected and trained to cover the 3rd EELISA Scientific Student Competition. Their mission? To capture key moments, conduct interviews, and reveal behind-the-scenes insights, offering a fresh, student-led perspective on the competition. The result was a vibrant and engaging collection of content in line with the spirit, diversity, and energy of the event!

Born in Mexico City, Mexico, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). I participated in projects for the Mexican Electrical System in collaboration with Tecnológico de Monterrey and later taught undergraduate courses at UNAM. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).

I believe that our duty as STEM professionals is to share our knowledge and experience, helping to smooth the path for those who show interest in these fields. Mathematics and the sciences are beautiful, and we must encourage young people to embrace them as a way of life — a way to help build a better society through science. Being an EELISA reporter has been a deeply gratifying and enjoyable experience; it has allowed me to meet and connect with people from all over the world and to convey this sense of purpose.

Bachelor’s student in Computer Engineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics. EELISA BME Student Reporter.

I became an EELISA Student Reporter because I love showing the moments that happen beyond the spotlight. I love making people see things from different perspectives, getting inspired, and inspiring others. I’ve always loved capturing moments through photography and video, and this role gave me the chance to do that more professionally while learning from other Reporters and reflecting the unseen side of EELISA’s journey.

Meet the second wave of reporters

These students have been selected to participate in a multicultural exchange experience, covering different events across the Alliance, and providing new points of view. Set in the context of EELISA Days, they will have the chance to cover three of EELISA’s main events: The First EELISA PhD Symposium, JEBE Business Game, and the Entrepreneurship School.
