Born in Mexico City, he earned my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He contributed to projects for the Mexican Electrical System in collaboration with Tecnológico de Monterrey and later taught undergraduate courses at UNAM. He later earned his Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).

I believe that our duty as STEM professionals is to share our knowledge and experience, helping to smooth the path for those who show interest in these fields. Mathematics and the sciences are beautiful, and we must encourage young people to embrace them as a way of life — a way to help build a better society through science. Being an EELISA reporter has been a deeply gratifying and enjoyable experience; it has allowed me to meet and connect with people from all over the world and to convey this sense of purpose.

Sonia is a representative and communications lead in the EELISA Student Council. With years of experience in student representation, beginning in high school, she is passionate about youth participation and education advocacy. Through her NGO in Romania, she works to empower young people and promote education as a foundation for change.

I became an EELISA Student Reporter because I love showing the moments that happen beyond the spotlight. I love making people see things from different perspectives, getting inspired, and inspiring others. I’ve always loved capturing moments through photography and video, and this role gave me the chance to do that more professionally while learning from other Reporters and reflecting the unseen side of EELISA’s journey.

She is an Indonesian Aerospace Engineering student at Politehnica University of Bucharest with a passion for science communication, content creation, and international collaboration. Trained in acting and communication at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique, he combines his passion for storytelling and public speaking through Parle mieux — his social media project about eloquence and the art of speaking.

For me, being an EELISA Student Reporter is like a little Erasmus I never had the chance to do. I love discovering new cultures, meeting people, and sharing stories that connect us. During the PhD Symposium, I’m especially excited to meet students who are pitching their research — because helping people express ideas clearly and confidently is what I do every day.

Hi, I am Mattia Amadei and I am attending my second year of my undergraduate in Political Sciences at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. Here at the school I found a stimulating environment, which gives me the opportunity to develope my passion for communication as spokeperson of the Allievi’s Commission for Communication and universitari guidance.

I’m Sara Feki, a Tunisian architect currently pursuing a Specialized Master’s in BIM at École des Ponts ParisTech, while working as a BIM and Digital Transition Manager at an architecture firm in Paris.

 

I believe in the power of digital innovation and collaboration to transform the way we design and build our cities. Being part of EELISA gives me the opportunity to share my ideas and those of others, and to convey the highlights and stories of this amazing event.

A Master’s student at ZHAW with a background in astrophysics and passionate about science, technology, innovation, sports and public speaking. As an Austrian, brought up in India and also lived in Scotland for a short period of time, so I value the importance of societal unity in science and innovation. I am a passionate STEM-girl whose university path started with Chemistry and has now evolved into Materials and Nanotechnology Engineering, at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. Asa student reporter I have had the chance to step into the shoes of students across the alliance and better understand their experiences. Master’s student in Management Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. I have a background in Industrial Engineering and I’m especially interested in technology, cloud systems, AI, railway signalling and how engineering ideas can be applied in the real world to give value to our society. I enjoy deep diving in demanding projects, meeting people from different backgrounds and finding new ways of developing my skills.

Being an EELISA Student Reporter allowed me to experience the competition in a very special way: not only as someone attending the event, but as someone listening, asking questions and trying to capture and give voice to the people behind each project.
