Join the 2nd Think Tank at the European Space Agency organized by Sustainable BCC Community!
Are you looking for a life-changing experience? If you are passionate about sustainability, innovation, and the future of digital cities, this is the event for you! Join us for a transformative experience at the European Space Agency -ESAC Campus in Villanueva de la Cañada, Madrid, from June 23 to 27, 2025. This exciting think tank, organized for the second time by the SUSBCC EELISA Community in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), will immerse you in the dynamic world of Sustainable, Efficient, Digital Buildings and Cities, all aiming towards Net Zero Energy Clusters.
Why You Should Attend
Experience a week of creativity and practical learning through workshops designed to enhance your knowledge of sustainability and digital transformation. Collaborate with other EELISA students, experts, and industry professionals while participating in inspiring activities and visits. As a highlight, you will take part in a guided tour of ESA’s space telescopes and planetary missions control center.
Collaborate with approximately 150 students and 50 professionals from around the world. The format is hybrid, combining face-to-face and virtual participation.
Think Tank Format
The think tank is divided into four parallel sessions:
– Three themed think tanks: Sustainability & Wellbeing, Energy, and Facility management & Building Operation
– One collective think tank inspired by the New European Bauhaus Spirit.
Within each think tank, you will find five thematic workshops (2 hours each), where small teams (4-6 members) will tackle real-world challenges. Each team will develop a comprehensive proposal, including 1 video, 15 ideas, and a strategy panel, presented in a Hackathon format. Compete for 10 official prizes and showcase your ideas to an expert jury.
By participating, you will develop a global perspective on sustainability, focusing on social, economic, and environmental issues. You will also explore how digital innovation can make communities more efficient and sustainable, all while working alongside professionals, professors, and fellow students.
