A trivia night on the circular economy
The first one held last year as part of the Madrid Science and Innovation Week 2021, 3VIA 2022 is a gamification workshop organized as part of the European Researchers’ Night 2022. It is an international collaboration of four universities under the EELISA European University Alliance: İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (ITU) from Turkey, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) from Spain, Universitatea Politehnica din Bucureşti (UPB) from Romania, and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna Pisa (SSSA) from Italy, in promising a fun night of collaborative learning and research for the youth, to foster awareness on the circular economy across Europe.
3VIA 2022 is a two-hour event consisting of short informative presentations, quizzes and discussion sessions geared towards first- and second-year university students. Brief presentations will introduce the participants to the basics of the circular economy concept, and inform them on the EELISA framework of the European Commission. A quiz method will be employed to invite participants from different backgrounds and locations from European countries to actively partake through three theme-based trivia activities that pique their curiosity and interest in the proposed topics. The mini quizzes involve intro-level questions addressing the three main activities promoted by the circular economy: reduce, reuse and recycle. Each quiz session will be followed by a short semi-structured discussion on the theme accompanied by relevant sources that hint at the questions asked. The trivia trilogy will be followed by an open discussion on the circular economy and its socio-civic compromise. The night will end with the announcement of participant recognitions, and a short informative note on upcoming CIRCULAR EELISA Community opportunities.
This activity is promoted by professors and researchers from the CIRCULAR EELISA Community and also supported by the ERASMUS+ CIRC.LE project.
