EEDays: Health, Clinical Engineering and Well- being Innovation & Technology workshop
This interactive workshop brings together a multidisciplinary community of students, educators, and researchers in the fields of health, well-being, and clinical engineering. Through rapid innovation techniques, participants will work collaboratively to address real-world healthcare challenges, aiming to create impactful, practical solutions. Emphasizing hands-on activities, the workshop fosters creative problem-solving, skill-building, and networking, empowering participants to engage directly with the evolving needs of healthcare systems and technologies.
Objective
To identify challenges in healthcare that require immediate, innovative solutions, and empower participants to tackle these challenges in a high-energy, structured environment.
Format
Participants will be introduced to specific cases (e.g., wearable health monitoring for remote patients, improving digital health accessibility, designing affordable diagnostic tools). Each team will choose one challenge to focus on for the duration of the workshop, working together on ideation, rapid prototyping, and presentation of solutions.
Outcomes
Each team presents a preliminary solution or prototype by the end of the workshop, with some projects selected for further development or mentorship. Impact on SDGs: Advances SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by focusing on solutions that improve health and well-being; promotes SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing experiential learning and skill development.
