Blockchain is one of the new and emerging technologies for leading industries and innovations, even if it is not fully formed, standardized or supported by best practices. In the recent years, countries have been paying attention order to improve their knowledge, experiences, and share their good practices surrounding this science by organising activities, delivering speeches, publishing papers or reports, doing projects, developing products, rules or policies, establishing organisations, groups and initiatives. 

The aim of this summit is to gather and connect academics and experts in industries and academia in the World strengthening blockchain communities around the World especially in Turkey.

This summit would be a platform for discussions on developments, practices, latest trends and acts as a networking forum for future academic studies, collaborations and business opportunities.

A group from Turkish universities and industries now established an initiative to support, collaborate and coordinate blockchain activities in Turkey under IEEE Blockchain Initiative. This group is now chaired by Prof. Dr. Seref Sagiroglu (Gazi University; ss@gazi.edu.tr). The co-chairs of this group are from industry Dr. Orhan Muratoglu (ASELSAN- muratoglu.orhan@gmail.com) and and the university Prof. Dr. Sedat Akleylek (Ondokuz Mayis University, akleylek@gmail.com).
