EELSA Days at ZHAW! Sustainable Lunch: Sustainable investing – possibilities, opportunities, challenges
Sustainable investing is on everyone’s lips and the range of possible investment products is extensive and diverse.
In her lecture, Michaela Tanner explains what makes sustainable investments more complex for investors compared to conventional investments.
Sustainable investments are part of the sustainability transformation of our societies. If you want to invest your money sustainably, you can choose from a large and diverse range of different investment products. But with the choice comes agony. With conventional investment products, it is enough to think about how much risk you want to take with your savings.
However, sustainably-oriented investors must also consider possible investment strategies and sustainability goals. ZHAW researchers have looked into the associated challenges for investors and investment advisors. This is in order to better understand what possible solutions should look like in order to support customers in finding the right sustainable investment product. In her presentation, Michaela Tanner will explain the diverse possibilities and opportunities of sustainable investing and provide insight into previous research findings on the challenges.
