Are you a doctoral student at an EELISA university? Is your research topic too good to let go once it’s finished? It could be time for a start-up adventure! If you are not sure what to do with your research, this is your chance!

With this workshop, PhD students will have the chance to get the nudging, support, and feedback they need to bring their research to the next level and explore the start-up potential of  their research topics while connecting to fellow students from all over Europe.

The aim of this workshop is to help doctoral students consider a path towards entrepreneurship. This will be achieved by creating and innovating through the “Lego Serious Play“ model, where participants will present their research topic in a visual way to their peers and use it to ideate around the research topic.

At the EELISA PhD Innovation Day, attendants will also hear first-hand about the journey of two post-docs who transformed their doctoral research into a startup (Acalta and Dulog), participate in an ideation workshop by ZOLLHOF, and listen to FAU’s inventor consultant and patent manager talk about the dos and don’ts concerning publications, patents, and IP.
