
Lecture High-Tech Entrepreneurship #2: Tips and tools for valorization of results in the LS sector
Do you know how to protect your research? What can be patented? Intellectual property valorisation and exploitation is not always easy in the field of Life Sciences. Through this lecture you will learn some examples and best practices to find your strategy and secure your results.
Speaker:
– Laura Spinardi is the head of the Technology Transfer Office at Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milan. She is a graduate in Biology from the University of Turin and received a PhD in Neuroscience at the New York University Medical Center, after which she moved as a postdoctoral fellow to the EMBL in Heidelberg and then in Monterotondo, Rome. After working successfully as a research scientist in the USA, France, and Germany, she joined the Policlinico of Milan in 2007. There she was instrumental in setting up the Technology Transfer Office and managing IPR protection, exploitation strategies, industry networking and spin-off creation. She is accredited Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) by the Alliance of Technology Transfer Association (ATTP) and a member of AICIPI and ASTP.
