5th EELISA x ZHAW HealthTech Summer School
This 6 ECTS- and Triple-E Award-winning program is modelled on the pioneering Stanford Biodesign training to identify major market opportunities and invent high potential digital health solutions (e.g. AI-based cancer detection, patient apps or DTx) or medical devices (e.g. implants).
It provides hands-on experience in shadowing patients and physicians, develop a compelling product idea and seed-stage business plan. Highly motivated students will benefit from interdisciplinary project groups with e.g. engineering, data analyst, health profession and business student members and extensive coaching by industry specialists. You will get insights and develop practical skills in:
– Biodesign innovation process
– Team strategy and skills
– Clinical immersion in clinics and at patient bedside
– Design thinking and user research
– Intellectual property check
– Regulatory strategy
– Reimbursement strategy
– AI and health data
– R&D and clinical strategy
– Funding options
– Pitch training

Course size limited to 24 participants: up to 12 places for EELISA and international candidates, application-based.

ENROLLMENT DETAILS
Open for all healthcare-interested, highly motivated MSc-students and young researchers/professionals from all faculties. EELISA students benefit from a reduced participation fee of CHF 240 (vs. 480).
Three mini-scholarships are available (zero fees) for the three best EELISA applicants.

– CV in English incl. level of English language skills
– Transcript of university degree program incl. final grade from Bachelor Degree
– How/where you heard/read about this Summer School After the email application deadline ends (and by End of March) we will let you know as soon as possible, whether you qualify for the next round of a 20-min-interview in the 2-3 weeks following the application deadline. Thank you.
