Reconnect: Digital Emotional Resilience for University Students
”Reconnect: Digital Emotional Resilience for University Students” is an interdisciplinary mini-course designed for STEM students, a group often exposed to academic stress and social media pressures, yet rarely included in programs focused on emotional development. The programme aims to foster emotional resilience and psychological well-being through evidence-based methods and international collaboration among EELISA partner universities.
The program is delivered in two complementary phases.
Phase A – Intensive (Bucharest, 25–27 June 2026) includes three in-person workshops covering emotional competence, the impact of social media on body image and psychological pressure, and the development of digital resilience and healthy online behaviour.
Phase B – Online (July 2026) involves a collaborative workshop in which students from partner universities co-design student well-being solutions, producing digital guides and short videos.
Activities employ interactive methods such as case-based learning with real-world scenarios (social-media-related stress, academic burnout, digital detox), interdisciplinary teamwork to develop a Digital Well-Being Action Plan, co-creation of university-specific campaigns, and structured reflective journaling throughout the program.
The total workload is 1.5 ECTS (37.5 hours), including workshop participation, individual preparation, and reflective collaborative work.
The programme develops skills in emotional resilience, healthy social media management, interdisciplinary collaboration, critical thinking, and designing solutions for student well-being.
