EEDays: Fostering Intergenerational Conversation: Learning Challenges and Opportunities
We live in a long-lived society where up to 5 generations coexist. The new life expectancy that lengthens work and life cycles, technological innovations, the transformation of the labour market and the obsolescence of knowledge, the new vital needs, are changing the way we understand learning, placing it as a backbone throughout life.
As a University, the challenge of training people and professionals, capable of moving in an increasingly accelerated and diverse world, intersects with the need to adapt educational methodologies to meet the needs of the new generations.
– Are current teaching methodologies still valid?
– Is it possible to revisit the learning journey between teachers and students?
– What do teachers think?
– What do students think? This workshop is designed to jointly explore the challenges faced by both faculty and students, but also the opportunities perceived by both sides in revisiting the learning journey.
The aim of the workshop is to be able to have a first approximation of the educational context at the UPM, identifying, as a result, new points to explore for the strengthening of educational methodologies, inside and outside the classroom. We expect to identify challenges and opportunities linked to educational methodologies, as well as other spaces that can be explored to strengthen educational methodologies.
