Step Out of Your Routine This Summer: Join UPM’s 20th International Staff Week in Madrid
What if a week away from your usual routine could bring fresh ideas, new connections, and a different perspective on your work? This June, you will have the opportunity to bathe in the early Madrid summer sun, as Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) will open its doors to international colleagues for the 20th edition of its International Staff Week. This year, the spotlight will be “Social and Cultural Skills for Staff in UPM European Alliances.” offering a space to reflect, learn, and connect in a relaxed but meaningful setting.
Designed with both academic and non-academic professionals in mind, the programme extends a warm invitation to those engaged in initiatives such as Erasmus+ and other international collaborations. Participants can expect an engaging agenda: from discovering UPM’s activities and services to connecting with departmental coordinators, visiting schools and facilities, and strengthening ties within networks such as EELISA.
English will serve as the working language throughout the week, while Madrid itself offers an immersive backdrop for experiencing Spanish language and culture firsthand. The event also provides a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and experiences with peers from partner institutions across Europe.

All EELISA Members are encouraged to participate, although due to capacity considerations, participation may be limited, to a maximum of two representatives per institution.
