WHAT ARE EELISA COMMUNITIES?

They are mission-driven collaboration platforms that foster the knowledge, research, and innovation needed to tackle societal and environmental challenges in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Students, researchers, and staff from all EELISA members work together with problem owners, experts, private companies, public institutions, and grassroots organizations to explore and develop sustainable solutions from multidisciplinary perspectives.

Participation on EELISA Communities activities is recognized through EELISA Credentials, a digital certification that evidences the participants impact through SDG-based contribution.

– They serve as MAGNETS, attracting projects and activities that already exist within EELISA members and within the territories where the challenges take place.

– They act as INCUBATORS, as they foster new multi-stakeholder and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Every EELISA Community has a clear mission and goals, aiming at solving real-world problems through a diverse spectrum of real  bottom-up activities.
