Each year, the European Student Assembly (ESA) initiative gathers more than 200 students from most European University Alliances to discuss current issues, come up with recommendations and advocate them among a selection of stakeholders and decision makers.
Designed and implemented by a students and academic committee, as well as and non academic staff members from different higher education institutions, the discussion tackles a wide range of topics such as democracy, the future of EU higher education, sustainable energy and cities, and mental health and digital transition.
Judith Wahl, International Business Studies student at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and Chairperson of the EELISA Student Council, was one of the alliance student representatives who attended the event. In the article below, she shares with us her experience during these three days in Strasbourg.
They also described their efforts to rebuild parts of their campus that had been destroyed. The Ukrainian students emphasized the importance of the support network they had found among fellow Ukrainians studying in European universities.
