For the fourth year in a row, EELISA institutions came together to bring EELISA Days to life: a full month of dynamic activities, inspiring lectures, creative competitions, and cross-border collaboration. Students, academics, staff, and external partners from all ten institutions contributed to an atmosphere of shared purpose and innovation.
Across 62 diverse activities, this edition pushed the alliance’s engagement to new heights. A total of 9.195 people took part directly, while large-scale events extended the impact even further, drawing an additional 59.500 participants.
Communication surrounding EELISA Days also reached an impressive wave of visibility, with more than 660 posts, videos and stories under the banner of EELISA Days. Social media exposure past 1.8 million views, and EELISA’s main channels welcomed 500 new followers, underscoring the growing interest in the Alliance’s mission.
This latest edition has also welcomed the participation of the EELISA Student Reporters, a selected group of 10 students who travelled across Europe to document EELISA Days from their own perspective, capturing stories, impressions, and moments that reflected the spirit of the alliance.

Commemorating the birth of pioneer female engineer Elisa Leonida Zamfirescu and the World Science Day for Peace and Development (10th of November), the month unfolded with a rich programme of activities, fuelled with innovation, challenge-based learning, cultural excahnge, and the passion of the EELISA community.
These themes came to life through initiatives such as the GenAI Experience Lab, teachig student how to apply generative AI to Design Thinking to solve real-world problems; the TeChallenge, focusing on the future by developing sustainable solutions and ideas towards developing Smart Cities and 4.0 Industries. But not only that, the EELISA community also could enjoyed an deep dive into history with the Minority Cultures series of lectures, each session offering a unique cultural perspective.
A highlight of this year’s edition was the coordinated effort to spread the EELISA Spirit across campuses through two major activities: EELISA Moving Stories Unboxed, a space where members of the university ecosystem shared personal reflections and insights; and, outside institutional buildings, the lively and unforgettable EELISA Pub Quiz, which united students, staff and academics for an evening of knowledge and fun.
In parallel, a series of key institutional events unfolded in Istanbul. The EELISA Governance Meetings resulted in the signing of a Statement on the Enlargement of the Alliance and the welcoming of two new Associated Partners: The University of São Paulo and the Technical University of Moldova.
At the same time, the EELISA Student Council held its first-ever EELISA Student-Led Bootcamp, while the EELISA Research Managers convened to advance their collaborative agenda.
The EELISA Student Reporters
Building up on the success of the first pilot Experience of EELISA Reporters during the 3rd Student Scientific Competition, EELISA Institutions selected 10 students who applied to become EELISA Reporters.
These students took part in four great activities have hosted the EELISA Student Reporters, the JEBE Business Game + Pisa’s Moving Stories Unboxed, bringing together students form across all disciplines to solve real business cases provided by external partners; the EELISA Entrepreneurship School, uniting students and staff with the shared goal of turning ideas into viable business ventures; and PhD Symposium, which fostered new cross-institutional scientific dialogue and collaboration.

Overall, EELISA Days brought together all member institutions and once again demonstrated the Alliance’s ability to unite students, staff, and partners across borders in a month of innovation, learning, and cultural exchange, a spirit set to continue with the 2026 edition.
