One week to go until the EAIE 2026 Conference and we are excited to be back this year, tuning into the motto “The Rhythm of Revolution” and its call to question, collaborate and create lasting change.
As one of pioneering European University Alliances, EELISA is proud to contribute to a conversation that has evolved from experimentation to the consolidation of one of the most transformative initiatives in European higher education.
As part of the conference’s programme, EELISA will join alliances EUt+ and ENHANCE to explore two questions that are central to Europe’s future:
🔹 How can European University Alliances of Technology become strategic assets for Europe’s competitiveness?
Sofia d’Aguiar, EELISA Executive Director, will engage with Ioana Dewandeler, Policy Officer for Higher Education at DG EAC; David Moss, Head of Research and Innovation Ecosystems at Siemens; Naveed Syed, Secretary General of the ENHANCE Alliance; and Rafael Toledo Moreo, Deputy Secretary General of EUt+.
🔹 What are successful practical examples of policies and practices for attracting and strengthening talent in Europe?
This panel discussion will bring together concrete cases and approaches, including EELISA’s experience, to explore how European cooperation can help attract, develop and retain the talent Europe needs. Sofia will be joined by Yann-Maël Bideau , Policy Officer in the Higher Education Unit at DG EAC, and Rafael Toledo Moreo, Deputy Secretary General of EUt+.
We look forward to meeting representatives from all EELISA partners, colleagues from FOREU4ALL, and fellow innovators in European higher education and to continuing the conversation on how European University Alliances can turn ambition into lasting impact!
