“An invaluable chance to combine the global momentum for the open sharing of information with the advancement of policy changes and the importance of social issues affecting people around the world”, is the fundamental statement that describes the International Open Access Week (IOAW).
The IOAW has been celebrated by individuals, institutions, and organizations around the world for over ten years. This year, IOAW will be celebrated with the theme “Open to Climate Justice” between 24-30 October 2022. This event is also considered to be “an opportunity for the academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of Open Access, to share what they’ve learned with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research.”
