As 2024 comes to an end, it is both inspiring and essential to reflect on the remarkable journey we have shared during the first year of EELISA’s rollout phase. This year has been a pivotal one—marked by maturity, growth, and the transition from visionary plans to tangible realities.
In 2024, EELISA has actively supported challenge-based learning and innovation by awarding €260,000 through two joint calls to fund impactful projects. Additionally, our Alliance has achieved the establishment of 56 EELISA Communities and granted 2,047 EELISA Credentials to learners who participated in over 70 transformative experiences, fostering skills aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
We celebrated the graduation of the first cohort from the EELISA Joint Executive Master in Digital Twins & Infrastructures and the EELISA leadership affirmed their commitment to supporting young researchers, recognizing this as a vital step toward ensuring Europe retains its most talented individuals to address the challenges of the future.
We also honored the birthdate of Elisa L. Zamfirescu with another successful EELISA Days, registering over 11,000 active participants and an outreach of more than 60K individuals.
This year, also marked the beginning of public collaborative actions with other European Universities alliances, laying a strong foundation for even greater cooperation, visibility, and transformation in the years to come.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the students, faculty, staff, and collaborators who have enriched this journey by sharing their voices, testimonies, insights, and expertise—especially our invaluable #EELISANarrators and EELISA Voices.
But we can’t conclude this moment of reflection without also looking ahead and sharing some exciting news:
